Misty White is a main character in the Frasier-based fan fiction spin-off Maris.
First appearing in the Season 13 finale, Misty is Bear Creek's head chef. Somewhat abrasive, she is a keen hunter and gun owner, and frequently clashes with her more liberal colleagues, in particular Lisa Grayson. She also has a frosty interplay with fellow chef Nicolas Baudin, whom she thinks is overstepping his boundaries when he joins the staff as a kitchen porter. However, they develop a modicum of respect for each other in Season 16 when Misty agrees to alternate as head chef with Nicolas. When Nicolas leaves for France in Season 17, Misty resumes her mantle as the sole head chef, and remains in this capacity until she quits after Season 20.
In Season 17, Misty enters into a casual fling with her former superior Rex Grayson, who ends the relationship midway through Season 18 due to his discomfort over their age difference. The two find themselves drawn together once again in Season 19 when they secretly marry in order to satisfy a stipulation in the will of Misty's mother. The fun of sneaking around soon proves to be the catalyst of any enjoyment in their relationship and they break up for good once the marriage is exposed, but commit to staying friends.
